What venue(s) will be a part of the festival?

The Village Theatre, and its two stages, is the host of the ATLIF. We are conveniently located directly across the King Memorial MARTA station in the Old 4th Ward neighborhood of downtown Atlanta.

How much stage time will performers receive?

A 25 minute set and opportunity for jams/mashups.


What is the range of shows and styles the festival is seeking?

We're looking for anything and everything improv related and we love a unique twist to the art. We're also looking for groups who want to be a part of a majority of the weekend. If you are only interested in being here for you slot and nothing else, this isn't the festival for you.


What is the local improv scene like?

We are an amalagam of styles from all over the country. Our performers are chameleons who can play in a variety of ways. We love to experiment with the art form, and help push it forward.


What are the festival's goals?

Our goals are to introduce the Atlanta improv community to as much variety from around the country as possible to inspire artistic growth. We also introduce visitors to a warm and welcoming Altanta improv community in addition to bringing in incredible headliners to entertain us all.


What are the selection criteria for this festival?

We use the following crietria to select submissions in addition to ensuring the widest variety of acts as possible.

Atlanta Improv Festival is an ambitious, hilarious and welcome improv comedy. festival. Established in 2015 and hosted at the famed Village Theatre in Atlanta, GA. Some of the best improv acts from the ATL and all over the country are highlighted.
