What venue(s) will be a part of the festival?

All performances at BATS Theatre, 1 Kent Terrace
All workshops at BATS Theatre, if we add any extra workshops they will be within 15 minutes walk of BATS

Forums & lectures at BATS
BATS is a three level performance space, ground floor is accessible, first floor has limited access with stairs and a single chair life, second floor is stairs only. There is no lift.


What lodging options are available?

YHA is across the road from BATS
Multiple other hostels within walking distance & on bus lines
Hotels and serviced apartments also available


What transportation options are available?

Most venues will be walking distance.
Programmed directors and teachers will be provided with airport transfers. Otherwise, you can get a taxi to central city ($30NZ ish), or use Uber/Zoomy, or Airport Flyer (bus).


What dining options are available?

Heaps of options nearby, including supermarket, takeaways, restaurants, burger joints etc. We provide an info pack on arrival with recommendations at a variety of price points.


How much stage time will performers receive?

Anyone can play in our All-In short form shows, you'll have the opportunity to register. You'll get at least one show (we may have a final which will feature invited performers).
Otherwise, there are casting opportunities for our new works for participants who take the accompanying workshop. These will be single performances.
All other shows will be cast in advance by the presenting companies or by festival director (opening and closing showcase).
