Festival Information

How much stage time will performers receive?

SFIT performance slots are 25 minutes.

What is the range of shows and styles the festival is seeking?

We are looking for a tremendous variety of acts. The more unique you are, the more we like you! We are especially looking for acts that are theatrical, that have performer diversity, and incorporate the audience.

What is the local improv scene like?

The Seattle improv scene is BOOMING. Among it's Three Big Improv Houses (Jet City Improv, Unexpected Productions, and Seattle ComedySportz) we have dozens of small improv groups and teams performing at these and other venues throughout the year.

What are the festival's goals?

To showcase the uniqueness of the art form of improv. Showcase the best improv Seattle has to offer, and present to Seattle’s improv community and fans a variety of atypical and high-quality improv work from across the nation.

What are the selection criteria for this festival?

The application form will ask for accurate description of both your show and your group; links to any social media for your improv group; a great hi-res press photo (NOT a graphic, poster or logo); and at least ten minutes of watchable performance footage.

What unique improv experiences will performers gain?

For this year we are working towards: A panel discussion, a group activity or brunch; as as always, The Sunday Dust-Up (Seattle's answer to the typical festival jam).
