About Alaska State Improv Festival 2015

What attracts performers to the Alaska State Improv Festival? AS IF, in its third year, has developed a reputation as a well-run festival with quality performances and instructors alongside one of the most iconic natural backdrops in North America.

AS IF seeks ensembles performing longform improv and/or improvised plays, with a particular emphasis on originality, variety, and quality. Accepted ensembles can expect:
 - At least one set of 20 to 30 minutes in an attractive, modern venue
 - A complimentary all-access pass for all shows and post-show parties
  •  - Discounted lodging and courtesy rides to and from the airport to downtown Juneau
  •  - Quality workshop opportunities at reasonable rates
  •  - Locally guided tours of area sites of interest

What else do you need to know? Visit asifest.com to learn more, e-mail producer@asifest.com with any questions you may have, and talk with other artists who have attended AS IF in the past.

"It's like getting welcomed, ever so briefly into a little secret art community and have the chance to share your art and learn from theirs and then go home. I'm actually torn now because I would desperately love to submit a show to visit again next year, but I'd almost feel guilty of robbing some other performer a chance to experience such a thing."
 - Bill Binder, National Improv Network

See you in Alaska!
