About Joshua Tree Improv/Comedy Festival 2017

All improv groups, sketch groups, and stand up comics are invited to submit their entry to be a part of the 2017 Joshua Tree International Improv/Comedy Festival at http://www.jtimprovfestival.org. What began as the Coachella Valley Improv/Comedy festival is now in its second year as a production of the Hi-Desert Cultural Center, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, located just minutes from the entrance to the renowned Joshua Tree National Park. The festival was recently featured by The Desert Sun and Palm Springs Life magazine, and has hosted such luminaries as Tom Dreesen as well as the incredible talent of comedians seen on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Conan, The Office, The Second City, Parks and Recreation, The New Girl, Funny or Die, and more.
All entries will be judged by an official selection committee, and the selected acts will perform July 8-9, 2017 at the historic Hi-Desert Cultural Center—the performing and visual arts center in the burgeoning art mecca of Joshua Tree, California. Performances will be judged by live theater audiences, who will choose an overall festival winner. The festival winner will be offered a paid return engagement during the Cultural Center’s 2017-2018 season.

The Coachella Valley Improv/Comedy Festival is a 2 day celebration of improv and comedy featuring improv, sketch groups and stand up comics, as well as workshops and networking opportunities. It is produced by Coachella Valley Repertory, a not-for-profit 501c3.
