About San Diego Improv Festival 2018

Looking for the perfect Valentine?  We've got hundreds of eligible and highly flexible entertainers that will listen to, agree with, and fully support you at the 5th annual San Diego Improv Festival February 15 - 18, 2018.

Be a part of the improv love fest - SUBMIT by October 15th, 2017. (Instructors submit by 10/31/2017)

Sunset strolls on the beach with 70 degree weather and palm trees swaying gently in the wind? Poolside brunch or late night movies under the stars? Historic landmark hotel that will help you “date up”? Hundreds of foxy funny fellas and daring dames? Short stumble down dimly lit hallways to go from the stage to your room?

Are you swiping right on this love baby?!

We are very open and welcome submissions of all types of improv-based shows.
We love to get experimental… musical improv, clown, sketch... show us what you've got darling.  Solo show?  You won't be alone for long.

Shows are Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings with workshops throughout and are programmed by a mix of juried selections and lottery. Inspired by Fringe Festivals, we hold 25% of our show spots for teams that will be invited via non-juried lottery! We randomly swipe right for some one night stands

We are attached to an amazing hotel and for the festival you can get special rates by name dropping the San Diego Improv Fest. The Saturday afternoon pool party is totally happening so bring your bathing suit to work on your tan!

Past performers have included Opening Night (Los Angeles), Robot Teammate and The Accidental Party (SDIF best of fest 2016), The Boys (Chicago), Fancy Boys (Los Angeles), Red Door (LA, SDIF Best of Fest 2015), Mr. Beaver (Chicago), From Justin to Kelly (New York), Dummy (LA), and many more!
