Pittsburgh Comedy Festival 2018

August 22-26, 2018

About Pittsburgh Comedy Festival 2018

The Pittsburgh Comedy Festival (PCF) brings together stand-ups and improvisers in a four-day celebration of all things funny. Our goal is to expose Pittsburgh to the art of comedy while we expand and engage our community of performers.

PCF celebrates the breadth of styles and voices in improv. Past improv headliners include North Coast: hip-hop improv comedy, Chicago mainstays Sheldon, and the all-female powerhouse Bombardo. If you're as jazzed as we are, talk to your team members/partner/self about submitting!

Wait, before you do that, have the following pieces of information in mind:

Festival sets will be around 20 minutes long.

We love acts with fresh perspectives, original ideas, and who bring their unique personality to the stage.

20-person troupe? Solo show? Sounds great to us! We love acts that play outside the ordinary just as much as we adore a very traditional set.

As with all our programming, your act's content should respect the diversity of both our audience and performers, and be concurrent with the inclusive spirit of our festival.

The festival is produced by Comedy Arts Pittsburgh (CAP), a corporation who is fiscally sponsored by a 501(c)(3) organization. CAP's mission is to raise the profile of comedy as a performing art in Pittsburgh by making the greater Pittsburgh area aware of the thriving local comedy arts scene and bringing in professional, highly entertaining national comedy acts, specifically stand-up and improvisational theater.
