About Mama City Improv Festival 2018

In our 3rd year, MamaCityIF will have 5 days of workshops with top line teachers, and 5 nights of shows, shows, shows! A young festival, the shows are intimate with audiences from 50 - 100, and each performing troupe will get a minimum of two shows, and the opportunity to play in the mixer. The festival has a longform slant, but welcomes troupes of all styles, from South Africa and abroad. And the city? Cape Town is one of the world's top destinations. Spice up your visit with a hike up table mountain, a wine tasting, go see the penguins!, surf, scuba dive, paraglide - or a million other awesome things. It's all here at the tip of Africa in Cape Town!
