About Dallas' 11th Big Weekend of Improv 2019
In 2008, friends of The Alternative Comedy Theater from NYC, Austin, and OKC were all in town on the same weekend and looking to play on stage together. They had a blast and an annual weekend of improv was established! Big Dallas Weekend of Improv (formerly Big Sexy Weekend of Improv) is dedicated to introducing the community to a wide range of improv styles, with shows for all ages. Shows are July 26th and 27th.
Our goal is to showcase how wide ranging improv is, and provide an opportunity for performers to take workshops that help them grow in their love of improv as an art form.
Dallas' Big Weekend of Improv, presented by The Alternative Comedy Theater, is an annual showcase of the diversity and fun of improv. With performances of all ages, the community learns about how varied improv is as an art form.
