Lindsey McGowen is the award-winning former Director of Production Design and Master Electrician at the Hideout Theatre in Austin, TX where she designed, performed or directed over 30 shows.

She teaches dramaturgy for improvisors and technical improvisation to rave reviews from students around the world: Hideout Theater - Austin, USA | The Improv Company – Singapore | Theater Momentum – Chicago, USA | Open Heart Theatre – Newcastle, UK | The Nursery Theater – London, UK | ImproAmsterdam - Amsterdam, NL

Lindsey has a Bachelor of Arts in Technical Theater from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, USA and has been nominated for multiple awards for her technical design work. In 2017 she (and her crewmates) won the Outstanding Improvised Technical Design for How I Saved the World Over Summer Vacation at the Hideout, in addition to being nominated for three other shows that same year in the same category. She also was a company member of both the 2014 and 2015 B. Iden Payne Award-winning shows Hurly Burly and Nothing & Everything: Improvised Chekhov Plays.

She also appeared on the tv show Jeopardy! in 2013.
