Órla is an Arts Professional, and has facilitated improv workshops all over the world, including in Ireland, UK, Spain, Finland Belgium, France, Sweden, Romania, The US and more. She is a professional improviser, teacher playwright & actor, and is based in Galway Ireland She is Artistic Director of The Sky Babies (improv troupe Galway), The Spontaneous Theatre People (theatre collective Ireland) and Moth and Butterfly (storytelling and improvisation Galway), all troupes and projects which include improvised theatre. As well as being involved in improv all over the world, Órla continues to work on Stage, TV, Radio and Film projects and is an award winning actor and writer. She also facilitates improvisation and Storytelling regularly for corporate clients. She is very passionate about cultivating the community of global improvisation. She founded 'Wingin' It' - a monthly night in Galway Ireland, dedicated to widening improv audiences, and welcoming travelling improvisers from all over the world to guest. She was involved in Improv Fest Ireland in various roles since it began, including as Co Director and as Programming Director. Órla also has the pleasure of being an improv tutor for the Blue Teapot Theatre Company, an ensemble and performing arts school for actors and students with intellectual disability.
