Notable differences from short form and traditional longform improvisation include costumes and prolonged character development. Stage10 actors exhaustively study the genre and develop their characters over weeks of rehearsals. Multi-month serial storytelling is paramount to the narrative construction of Stage 10's shows.
Stage10 makes its theatrical debut with the improvised Daytime Soap Opera,The Rich & The Reckless. The fictitious town of Lennox Hills and the characters of The Rich and the Reckless were developed by Jessica Perry (Emmy-nominee, Guiding Light), founder of Stage10 Theatre Company, along with her memorable sidekick, and co-founder, Courtney Flynn.
Stage10 embraces the concept of continued growth through teamwork and peer education. To be a Stage10 performer is to know that anything is possible, that fear is your friend, and that 9+1 does not equal 10.
