"Rat King" is a long-form improv comedy troupe established in 2004 by pH Comedy Theater in Chicago, Illinois. Rat King is made up of undergraduate students at DePaul University and performs weekly as part of pH Theater's College Night in collaboration with other university troupes. The team originated as the musical improv troupe, "The Cosby Sweaters" in 2004. Rat King plays at pH and other Chicago theater venues, including The Annoyance Theater, The Playground Theater, and iO Chicago. Rat King placed 2nd overall in the Windy City Regionals at the College Improv tournament in 2014 and second in the preliminary round in 2015. The team was also a featured performance at Brown University's Comedy Conference in 2014.
