Group work is a critical part of the craft of improvisation - to use group mind, agreement, listening, heightening, and stage picture to create group pieces is one of the most significant differences between improv and other similar stagecraft. Knowing how to start, join, and manage large group games to make them dynamic, interesting, and fun is one of the most daunting challenges facing the modern improviser. Using simple strategies, with an emphasis on cooperation and practicality, participants will learn how to navigate group pieces successfully and confidently and leave with a set of tactics that can be immediately used to create theatrically pleasing large group work.
