Naked on stage - Honesty and Trust in Improv

So you’ve been improvising for a while and know a bit about making characters, editing and narrative. Your scenes play out well and your characters seem funny. Still you get the feeling of not being grounded and missing the core of your scenes. You feel disconnected – from your scene, your partner and yourself. You find yourself lost in your head. In this workshop we focus on grounding you to the scene, your partner and yourself AND the characters you discover. We work on Meisner-technique, honesty, meta-text and ultimately staying true to the characters. By giving a piece of your personal self, you get more grounded and the audience get tons of identifiable material. That way everybody gets emotionally invested, and that’s what makes improv feel like the magic it is!
