What venue(s) will be a part of the festival?

The festival will take place at RISE Comedy in downtown Denver, CO. We are close to everything and mass transit, train, buses etc. Also walking distance to tons of restaurants and bars.


What lodging options are available?

We will be looking into our community offering up rooms, however you can always check airbnb, and nearby hotels.


What transportation options are available?

There is a train that goes from the airport to Union Station a 10 minute walk from the theater and downtown. It's only $10 and way cheaper then an Uber/Lyft. Taking the train to union station and then grabbing an Uber/Lyft is the way to go. The trains are safe and nice.


What dining options are available?

We will have snacks, non-alcoholic drinks, discounted alcohol drinks and food will be provided some nights. Other then that there are tons of affordable options in walking distance.


What local events or attractions are available?

We have a ton, Red Rocks Amphitheater, Breweries, Arcade Bars, Hikes and more. We will be guiding some of these excursions, but will also have a list of things to do in Denver.

Festival Information

How much stage time will performers receive?

Depends on the show or submissions. Around 25 to 50 minute shows.


What is the range of shows and styles the festival is seeking?

We take anything honesty. We love to see a diverse offering of shows. We are looking for great quality shows that are polished and ready for the stage.


What is the local improv scene like?

It's pretty great. RISE Comedy is the main improv/sketch/stand up theater. We do it all here. We love the Denver community. The embody everything that is great about this artform.


What are the festival's goals?

We would love to offer diverse teams, quality shows and giving our patrons access to our artform from all over the world. Exposing them to improv/sketch outside our city. Representation does matter to us.


What are the selection criteria for this festival?

We have a diverse panel of submission judges that will be looking over all the all videos and giving a fair assessment of the shows. They grade on quality of the show.


What unique improv experiences will performers gain?

We offer an Improv Intensive with some of the greatest teachers in the business. This year, so far, we have Jet Eveleth, Drew Droege and Nick Armstrong. More to be announced. This intensive class(es) will also play in the festival. We will also offer workshops for people who do not take the intensive. We will also take you on some excursions in the city so you can see what Colorado has to offer.
