Jessica's Info

Jessica Brown is a Co-Director/Owner of Station Theater in Houston. She is primarily responsible for Level 1 classes and applied improvisation. She delights in emotional connection in improv. She particularly enjoys the connections made through more experimental forms like silent improv and The Bat, which she learned directly from its creator Joe Bill. She is also a destination marketer with more than 20 years of experience putting butts in seats.

Jess attended The University of Texas at Austin and is a graduate of the ComedySportz Houston and The New Movement (TNM) comedy training programs. She has been performing since 2009. She has continued to study improv and sketch comedy with trainers from Kids in the Hall, iO Chicago, Annoyance Theater, Huge Theater, and more. She toured nationally with TNM’s Tourceratops and has performed at the Chicago Improv Festival, Trill Comedy Festival, Houston Improv Festival, Improv Wins, Megaphone Marathons and Houston Fringe Festival. She currently performs with Trek Wars, No More Words – Silent Improv, This Infinite Closet, and Old Enough to Know Better.

Jessica recently stepped away from a 19+ year career in Destination Marketing to focus on Station Theater. She manages marketing for Station as well as the Houston Improv Festival and Trill Comedy Festival, both of which she co-produces.
