Kathleen's Info
Kathleen Kenny (AKA Kat - She/Her) has been teaching short form and long form improvisation to improvisers of all levels for almost 15 years as well as acting classes for 20 years. She is a full-time self-employed teaching artist, offering workshops, one on one sessions, team coaching and her weekly Improv Joy Drop-in classes to people of all ages. She currently plays with multiple improv teams and has her lotto show Get Lucky with Kat. She’s proud to have taken her workshops and performances to improv festivals around the country.She received her B.F.A. in acting from the Actor Training Program at the University of Utah and is a graduate of the UCB Training Center in NYC. She has studied with Charna Halpern, Tara Defrancisco & Jason Shotts when she took levels I &II of the I.O Intensives in Miami. She has had multiple classes with Susan Messing, David Razowsky and Joe Bill as well as countless workshops with many other improvisers who excel at their craft. She loves the chance to be a student and takes it whenever she’s able.
She is passionate about everyone in improv and theatre having a voice and believes in creating environments where it’s safe be your full self as well as to fail fabulously.
