Jessica Austgen and Lauren Bahlman have been performing together on stages around the Denver metro Area since 2011. They decided to go rogue and form a duo when they realized they shared a deep love of Broadway musicals, Wes Anderson movies and wordy, nerdy books.
Jessica Austgen performs improv with Cult-Following (Off-Center @ the DCPA), Impulse Theater (Denver’s Longest Running Show) and acts/directs Jane’s Addiction: Improvised Jane Austen. Jessica also teaches improv and normal acting at the Tony Award Winning Denver Center for the Performing Arts. When she isn’t improvising with Lauren Bahlman, she is probably texting Lauren pictures of baby animals in sweaters.
Lauren Bahlman trained at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade in New York City and has performed on more improv teams than you can shake a stick at. She’s also a fancy theater actress, and has been in fancy plays by Shakespeare, Chekov and, most recently in Hysteria at Boulder Ensemble Theater. It was also fancy.
