About Rico Suave' Improv

Rico Suave' was born when Robert S. Rico met Curt Davis at M.I.'s Westside Comedy Theatre in Santa Monica, Ca. These two completed all levels of the improv curriculum together and formed a bond and manifesto to rise to power and take over the country through doing improv. Rob and Curt also are night managers at the Westside theatre, doing bits, engaging in "sillytime" and usually driving the owners bonkers. After repeatedly hearing: "Save it for the stage", the "brothers in improv arms" set out to do just that! After performing in awesome shows at west side such as: The Draft, The Jam, and Lip sync Extravaganza The boys knew it was time to make it on their own- sorta. Inspired - not sired, by the awesome two man shows: Rollin n' riches and Paradox, the brothers set out on a journey to land a perfect stage and home to get "reps" in and build it.

While Westside Comedy will always be the boys Home- The Improv Space in busy, wonderful Westwood is where the brothers decided to start their journey. This is only fitting since both Rob and Curt are Westwood residents. Rico Suave performs at ‘The space’ the last Sunday of Month. Rico Suave’ has been coached by some of the greatest improvisers in the game. Jay Saykow, Rich Baker, and Landon Kirksey to name a few. Rico Suave’ also has appeared in online content. Rico Suave’ is serious about sharing the wonder of improv, building communities, and making people laugh. The Brothers are busy working on their next plan to tour, do more festivals, and are writing a pilot.
