Mike Schramm has been doing improv for over half a decade now, after training in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and San Diego. It's one thing to do improv with people you know and that you've practiced with, but Mike believes that the greatest challenge in improv is not just connecting to and listening to someone that you know well, but connecting to and listening to anyone in the world, whether they're committed to the scene or not.

A great improviser should be able to make sense of chaos, to connect up and justify everything that happens on stage no matter what it is. In Schramm And, Mike Schramm will choose one random person in the audience (really random, via a random number generator), and whether they're trained in improv or not, he'll perform a full-length monoscene (usually 20-30 minutes) with them. Whether they're acting along with Mike or just saying random nonsense or not interacting at all, Mike will build characters and a scene, and use his talents to make sure the show is entertaining and interesting. Schramm And is two-person improv without a net -- it's a fun watch for improvisers who can see what Mike is doing to connect everything up, and even non-improvisers can enjoy the wild action of putting someone on stage who's never been there before (and didn't expect to be there).
