Charm City Comedy Project is
thrilled to announce our third annual all-comedy festival in Baltimore, MD. We’ve again made changes…all shows will now take place at our home base, Zissimos Bar in the beautiful neighborhood of Hampden. We've also added a second weekend - May 4th - 8th is dedicated to sketch and improv, and May 11th - 15th is for standup comedy.
The Charm City Comedy Festival,
Baltimore’s first festival for improv, standup, and sketch, will take
place from Wednesday, May 4th through Sunday, May 15th, 2016. In our third year, we’re expanding to include a second weekend for standup only - leaving the first weekend for our improv and sketch friends.
Events will include shows on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights at the Charm City Comedy Project, currently in residence in
Hampden in the Lou Costello Room upstairs at Zissimos Bar (1023 W 36th Street, Baltimore, MD 21211).
Improv and sketch workshops will be held on Saturday, May 7th and
Sunday, May 8th at Zissimos Bar and Gallery 788, and will be taught by
prominent and nationally recognized instructors – Chris Trew of The New Movement in New Orleans and Austin, Alison Gates of The Second City's BlueCo. US Touring Co., Dana Quercioli of The Second City Chicago's Up Comedy Club, iO Chicago, and The Annoyance Theatre, and more.
Standup workshops will be held on Saturday, May 14th and Sunday, May 15th at Zissimos Bar. Our instructors include: Sara Armour (Standup Comic, Instructor, and Coach, NYC), Jessica Garrett (Standup Comic, Actor, Co-founder of Single Carrot Theater, Baltimore), and Tommy Sinbazo (Standup Comic, Raconteur, Craftsman, Baltimore).
