About 321 Improv Festival 2017
We’re very excited to announce the inaugural 321 Improv Festival, the first of its kind devoted to showcasing the best improv trios, duos, and solo acts from around the country, to be held in Tampa, Florida on August 17-19, 2017.
We believe that small-group improv is a particularly potent and delightful style of comedy. When you limit the number of players on stage, you often increase the potential for commitment, focus, and innovation. The 321 Improv Festival was created to celebrate and showcase some of the world’s most talented small-group improvisers.
This festival is a production of Countdown Theater in New York City and the duo behind it, From Justin to Kelly (Justin Peters and Kelly Buttermore). We’ve taught and performed at theaters and festivals all across the country, hosted and attended summits, and consulted with theater owners, troupes and improvisers about building vibrant local improv scenes with a strong community foundation. We’re excited to showcase our knowledge and expertise, and share our passion for small group improv in particular, bringing more improv to Tampa Bay and beyond.
