About Denver Improv Festival 2017

The Denver Improv Festival will be held in downtown Denver, showcasing the best improvisors and teachers from Colorado and all across America. Former headliners include TJ & Dave, Jill Bernard, Bob Dassie, Jimmy Carrane, Joe Bill, Emily Wilson, Dina Facklis, Craig & Carla Cackowski, Tara DeFrancisco & Rance Rizzutto, Nick Armstrong, Nick Ross, Thomas Middleditch, Greg Tuculescu and many, many more.

Come enjoy the beauty of the Rocky Mountains and great improv acts from around the nation!

Submissions will be judged by the following criteria:
- Presentation: Playing at the top of your intelligence, Edits, Form Execution
- Character: Strong Choices, Character Depth, Honest Discoveries, Physicality, Philosophy
- Relationship: Honest, Varied, Dynamic Conflict, Engaging
- Yes, And: Deep listening, Building on others ideas, Give and Take, Heightening
- Environment: Engages the imagination, Mimed objects are specific, Take Action in the Environment
- Diversity: Diversity of Players
- Uniqueness of Form: How Uniquely Styled is the Form of the Show

Important Notes:

- Performers will only be allowed two sets on two different teams. Their team may not be disqualified from admission, but it may be a factor in whether or not their teams are accepted.
- Submissions must be from shows performed within the last year and with current cast members.
