Play It Slow and Real

Sure, audiences love fast and furious improv, but you can really wow them by mixing in scenes of high drama and real emotion. Learn how to slow down and listen at the textual, sub-textual, and contextual levels and connect both with your scene partners and with the show. It's about to get REAL! Improvisers often feel the need to fill every moment of a scene with dialogue and are hesitant to allow their characters to be vulnerable and affected by their scene partners. This workshop will teach techniques to use silence and emotion to create compelling scene work while introducing the concepts of text, subtext, and context of the scene.
