Jeromaia's Info

I have been studying and performing improvised theatre since 2013. First starting out with theatre sports, I soon moved into long from improvisation and more recently clowning.

I have trained with Improv Theatre Sydney, Graduating in 2016 and in 2017 completed the iO Chicago Intensive. I have also trained at Ecole Philippe Gaulier in Paris and spent time at the Norway Clown Camp in 2018.

I teach both theatresports and longform in a variety of environments. These include, drop in university classes, regular teaching sessions at schools and coaching of adult long form troupes. I work as an educator and program producer at a museum and have used these skills to effectively teach improv.

I enjoy teaching play focused improv, embracing the audience and discoveries within the scene. I specialise in physicality and object work and have lessons dedicated to these skills.

I regularly incorporate clowning in my lessons as I believe that many of the philosophies of clowning are very important to developing a good improvisor.
