Narrative Improv

Narrative improv focuses on creating an engaging story with strong characters, relationships, and plot twists. In this intermediate class students will learn how to generate characters with distinct personalities and bodies. Students will practice improvised monologues to unearth a character's unique point of view and objectives. Finally, students will perform "The Nelson," a fully improvised play with interconnected stories, characters and an Oscar-worthy climax. Special emphasis will be placed on deconstructing character psychologies, foreshadowing events, and developing the plot. Available in Parts 1 & 2
