[City], I Love You

Learn Bad Dog's award-winning longform improvised show format Toronto, I Love You... tailored to celebrate your hometown. (i.e. Atlanta, I Love You - which was taught to and performed by an entirely local cast at the 2016 Last Seen Festival in Atlanta.) An improvised love letter to the city, Toronto, I Love You is a celebration of place that weaves together intersecting storylines, cinematic transitions, light magic realism and music - all inspired by favourite locations suggested by both the cast and the audience. Think: P.T. Anderson's Magnolia... only much less depressing. >>This workshop works best over 2-3 days. Format breakdown & sample show footage available on request. >>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: - local MD who is comfortable improvising songs in addition to arranging 2-3 covers of known songs by local artists. (Guitar accompaniment is ideal but not essential.) Alternately, schedules-allowing, I can travel with the show's original MD Nick DiGaetano who will arrange appropriate cover songs in advance of arrival and create guide tracks for the performers. - Performers will be asked to learn 2-3 songs in advance of the workshop but DO NOT NEED TO BE SINGERS... just improvisers willing to sing in a group setting. - There is a heavy movement component to this show, though I am always excited to explore accommodations when different needs are presented.
